My photography journey started when I began working as a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) for the police. I was responsible for recording serious and major crime scenes using a DSLR camera. I completed a City & Guilds qualification in Crime Scene Photography as part of my police training.

Throughout my police career, I have photographed over 1000 crime scenes, including flash photography during post-mortem examinations, macro photography of forensic evidence, long exposure photography in low light conditions and in all weathers. Every photograph I took had to be correctly exposed as it had the potential to be used as evidence in the courtroom. This experience equipped me key technical photography skills.

During lockdown I bought myself a DSLR camera and started exploring creative photography by building a portfolio of people, landscape, and wildlife images. Being outside is great for mental well-being and what better way is there to capture the beauty of nature, humans, and the world around us than through the lens?
