About the Founder

A graduate of Oxford Brookes University (or the Poly as it was known back then) John went on to join Photarc Surveys Ltd where he remained until late 2006, attaining the post of project manager.

During 12 years with Photarc, John acquired extensive experience with stereo-photogrammetry in air survey, architecture and engineering.  He has also trained people in the use of close-range, multi-image photogrammetry in several fields including building survey, engineering and police work.

In 2004, John won the Richard Carter prize awarded by ICES for his work in multi-image photogrammetry (see the picture below).  John has also contributed to the ICES magazine.

In his spare time, John is an armchair hill-walker, enjoys reading and is a keen Simpsons and Futurama fan.
