About the Founder
A graduate of Oxford Brookes University (or the Poly as it was known back then) John went on to join Photarc Surveys Ltd where he remained until late 2006, attaining the post of project manager.
During 12 years with Photarc, John acquired extensive experience with stereo-photogrammetry in air survey, architecture and engineering. He has also trained people in the use of close-range, multi-image photogrammetry in several fields including building survey, engineering and police work.
In 2004, John won the Richard Carter prize awarded by ICES for his work in multi-image photogrammetry (see the picture below). John has also contributed to the ICES magazine.

In his spare time, John is an armchair hill-walker, enjoys reading and is a keen Simpsons and Futurama fan.
Testimonials
“I can’t recommend John enough. He is always
reliable and punctual on site and saves much time and effort to
create impressive, highly accurate elevations which, using
traditional surveying methods, would take forever! That makes him
very cost effective too, and as such, we have worked on numerous
projects together where John has been able to concentrate on building
survey information to complement our topographical surveys.”
Alison Watson, Peak Surveys Limited
“John has satisfied our exacting requirements
for building survey time and time again. Our specification is very
demanding, and yet John never fails us, allowing us to provide an
excellent service to our own architect clients. We whole heartedly
recommend his work.”
Stuart Garton, Shire Surveys Limited
“Whenever we need a photogrammetric survey, we
call John. He is utterly reliable, and highly recommended.”
